Q: What is CIRCLE OF SECRETS about?

A: Helen and Marissa are total strangers but one thing connects them—Family Secrets. Their mysterious past intertwines and they don’t know it until a family secret reveals that everything they’d once known, was all a lie. Now, they must fight their own battles in figuring out the truth, before it’s too late for one of them.

 

Meet Helen-an older woman, who enjoys her part-time work at the local hospital where her husband is a doctor. Her past haunts her and when a secret is revealed, she must push past the pain to forgive her father and piece together a puzzle in order to find what she’s looking for.

 

Meet Marissa-a woman in her thirties, single parent to Sophia. She loves to teach but her health has gotten in the way of her passion. When a secret is revealed, she must figure out what it means before her time runs out.

 

In a nutshell, it’s about family secrets. Secrets that make a full circle and in the end, affect more than one life.

 

Q: How long did it take you to write it and where did you get the idea from?

A: It took a total of two months writing time, one month polishing it (after I had already sent off unedited. Basically I sent a rough draft lol)  The idea was something I did in honor of my mom as we were working on a possible screenplay that I turned into a novel and finished for her.

 

Q: What’s your writing background?

A: I’m a rookie. I have had no formal training or college experience, I just write from my heart. I get these scenes or ideas in my head and write. Then eventually I fall in love with these characters and I have to get their story told. It’s not just a hobby or a possible career, it’s a passion…it’s a dream. It’s what makes me, me.

 

Q: Why should someone want to read your book in particular?

A: I’d hope they would want to take a chance on a “newbie” author. It is my debut novel, but I poured my heart into it. Literally, every emotion is in this book. If secrets, love and drama interest you, give my book a read.
